Our Story

From an Algerian Kitchen to Your Modern Sanctuary:

As an immigrant, a wife, and a mother of two wonderful kids, I moved to the United States to join my husband, with a dream of building a beautiful future for my family, while holding tightly to the traditions of where I came from.

I grew up in Algeria watching the women of my country make saboon dzayer, also known as saboon beldi, a soft soap passed down through generations of North African women. It wasn't just something you cleaned with. It was a ritual, a few quiet minutes of care, done the same way it had been done for centuries, made from nothing but what the earth gave you.

Later, when I studied Medical Biology and Ecology, and each shaped how I see skincare today: Medical Biology taught me how the body actually works, and Ecology taught me to respect the intelligence already built into nature. Together, they helped me understand why those old traditions worked so well. I saw the science behind what Algerian women already knew: skin doesn't need a long list of synthetic ingredients to be healthy. It needs a few good ones, chosen with care.

So when I looked at the beauty aisle here , bottles with fifteen ingredients I couldn't pronounce, I missed the simplicity I grew up with. I wanted to bring that back. Not as a copy of the past, but as something new that still remembered where it came from.

That's how NatYou Soap started.

Ancient Tradition, Made for Today:

Every soap is still handmade, now in California, with a base built mostly from organic olive oil, along with organic coconut oil and lye; the essential ingredient every true soap needs to become soap, the same kind of honest ingredients my heritage always used, plus botanical blends and essential oils that fit the way we live now.

I don't think of these as luxury soaps. I think of them as a small pause in your day. A minute to actually feel the lather, notice the scent, and remember that taking care of yourself doesn't have to be complicated.
